EMSE v5.3 Release is now available for download from www.sourcesignal.com/download.html.

What's New in EMSE Suite v5.3

EMSE 5.3 Release adds many new features to EMSE Suite, including:

  • Usability improvements like more context menus, improved controls, smart re-sizing, improved auto-scaling and auto-refresh
  • Batch averaging and peak detection to automate ERP analysis in the time and frequency domains
  • Source Estimation enhancements -  DICS in the time-frequency domain, newly optimized BEM, channel groups for dipole fitting, multistart dipole fitting, improved dipole confidence intervals, sequential dipole fits to selected data intervals, and a streamlined user interface and display
  • New file readers for Elekta/Neuromag, Grass Telefactor, BMSI, EDF+
  • Epilepsy analysis enhancements such as spike template matching and an improved user interface for automatic and manual interictal spike detection
  • Electrocorticography (ECoG) visualization and analysis tools, including coregistration with MRI and CT data
  • Autoload default electrode locations and average brain regions for extended 10-20 electrode arrays
  • Visualizer has improved integration with ECoG display, saving/restoring display parameters, and variable font size
  • Topographic mapping enhancements such as improved sphere-to-plane mapping, channel group selection (for dipole fitting), time-frequency display, Neuromag vector magnitude display, auto-update latency changes, context menus and a new modeless dialog that lets you work while leaving the dialog open
  • Compressed spectral arrays for condensed viewing of continuous EEG or MEG data
  • Whole-map statistical hypothesis testing, which supports testing on topographies (not just individual sensors or source locations) for greater statistical power in the time or frequency domain
  • Time-frequency enhancements topographic (flat) map display and improved autoscaling
  • Power spectral density (PSD) extensions using variable-length intervals
  • Inter-electrode coherence in the frequency domain
  • Output a new file from user-selected intervals, preserving event markers using event-based epochs or variable length segments; up- or down-sample to new effective sampling rate
  • Hilbert transform and Global field power filters
  • Blind event review mode – manual (visual) artifact rejection when the reviewer does not have access to the event types
  • Workspace auto-sync keeps your workspace up-to-date between Data Editor and MR Viewer modules, auto-updating when a change is detected
  • MR Viewer now supports more user defined regions, image registration on user-selected electrodes and labeled point support
  • Down- (or up-)sampling time series
  • Locator supports visual feedback as each electrode is digitized, with ability to correct specific electrodes.

If you do not have an up-to-date software license (valid for v5.3) please contact techsupport@sourcesignal.com for a trial code or sales@sourcesignal.com to upgrade your license.
